A study in self-deception, the beggar who casts their need as virtue, and mistakes survival for entitlement. The figure holds both roles at once: receiver and deliverer, hungry and feeding. Part of the Beggar Series, which looks at begging not as pure hardship but as a kind of performance, one the beggar may believe as fully as the audience does.
